Error: no 'server' JVM at C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\server\jvm.dll

If you get an error message like this, it means that your Java Runtime Environment (JRE) does not come with the Server version of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). This is usually the case if you only install the JRE and not the JDK (Java Development Kit).

To resolve this, you can either :
  1. Install the JDK from http://java.sun.com
  2. Remove the "-server" portion in the VMARGS parameter of startsvr.bat or cb8svr.sh
